For hemp as a natural resource, medical drug and stimulant

The Hanfparade Association was founded in 1997 to organize a demonstration for one of the oldest cultural crops in the world and to fight for a reasonable legal framework regarding hemp.

Soon it became obvious that an event like this was needed. The support from all over the country grew quickly and the organizers could be sure to address an issue important to a big part of society. In the last seven years the Hanfparade continuously grew to one of the biggest pro-hemp events in Europe.

The Hanfparade Association is supported by private persons and organizations of various backgrounds. Our members mainly live in Germany, but we also have members from Switzerland, the Netherlands, Poland, and Austria. They all are united by the wish to decriminalize hemp, and to inform about its unbelievably numerous possibilities of usage. With this aim, the Hanfparade Association organizes one of the biggest yearly political demonstrations in Germany with participants from all over the world by now.

The demonstration starts, headed by the traditional parade of trucks, with a move through the streets of Berlin. Thousands of hempsters show their opinion in a colorful and loud protest move.

The Final Rally offers lots of opportunities to get informed about hemp as an agricultural, cultural, and industrial crop, and to contribute your own opinion to the public discussion. On a spacious main stage well-known representatives of political institutions and legalization activists state their view on the hemp issue. Appearances of national and international bands provide the musical framework in the stage program.

At the Market of Possibilities you will find a wide variety of hemp-related goods and a lot of information about hempy campaigns, events, traders, and organizations. Here you also will find our supporters and sponsors as well as the information counter of the Hanfparade Association.

In our Natural resource area, we would like to inform the visitors about some of the numerous possibilities of hemp processing. Did you know you can use hemp as a building material, you can use it for paper or textile production, it is edible, and every single part of the plant is processable? In the Natural resource area you will find lots of ideas for smart ecological and economical ways to use hemp.

The activities of the Hanfparade Association not only focus on the event of the Hanfparade itself. We also organize the yearly MMM-event (Million Marihuana March) in Berlin. Representatives of the Association visit political events all over Germany and Europe, for example the Legalize StreetRavein Amsterdam and others (please visit our organizations and campaigns sections for more information).

The Hanfparade Association invites everybody who is interested in the hemp and legalization issue to visit our weekly meetings. The organizing team meets on Tuesdays, 19:00 h, in the Hanf Museum Berlin (Mühlendamm 5, 10178 Berlin).
